Then and Now
In 1982, JCC Association, Maccabi World Union, Maccabi Canada, and Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel held the first North American Youth Maccabi Games. The JCC Maccabi Games® have grown to become the world’s largest annual Jewish sports competition for teens. With the inclusion of The Munich 11 Remembrance, Hang Time and Days of Caring and Sharing, athletes learn about Jewish experiences and values, while socializing with other Jewish teens from around the world.
